From the Principal
Dear Families,
Firstly, a HUGE thank you to all of our dads, grandpas, uncles, friends and special people for attending our Father’s Day breakfast and Liturgy last week. It was such a wonderful turn out and it was so nice to see children and their families enjoying a special breakfast together. Special thanks to those who stayed afterwards to help clean up – that’s always the hardest part.
We also had a wonderful day on Friday with our Book Week Dress Up. The children and staff all looked wonderful and it was fantastic to have that buzz of excitement around the school that special days like these bring.
Next Week, it’s Footy Colours Day on Thursday and footy fun lunch. I’ll be coming in my red and black gear and can’t wait to see all the kids in their favourite footy team colours. If you’re not an AFL fan, maybe there’s another code of footy you enjoy like the Rugby or Soccer – that’s fine too!
Exciting news is that we will be having a school concert on Thursday 8th December at Morwell Central Primary School. We think we will need to have two shows on the day – times will be advised at a later date and ticket sale information will come sometime ion Term 4.
Please remember to put the school closure dates in your diary for next term. Again, I apologise for the volume of these in such a short timeframe. Our staff have been incredibly lucky to get onto this Literacy training course but the timing could have been better. We thank families for their understanding and hope we’ve given enough notice to ensure families can be organised for this.
Also remember that the first day of Term 4 is a school closure day. School will resume for Term 4 on Tuesday 4th October.
Have a wonderful week ahead,
Sally
