From the Principal
Dear Families,
Thank you to all of our wonderful Lumen Christi families for a wonderful term. It’s been quite a challenging term health wise for many of our families and staff, but your efforts to keep children who are sick at home and continuing with the Rapid Antigen Testing is much appreciated.
A reminder to all families that school finishes at 12:30pm on Friday to begin the much needed break.
We have our four Year six students making their Confirmation on Thursday evening at Sacred Heart in Morwell. Congratulations to Maizie, Jack B, Jack S and Maila. All are welcome to attend, especially their classmates, if they would like to support their friends on this wonderful moment in their Faith journey.
We also had Charlotte in grade 1/2 celebrate her Baptism at the weekend. Congratulations Charlotte, we hope you had a very special day.
Last week, we had lots of dads, uncles, family friends and grandpas attend our “Dad’s Night”. Thank you to all those who attended, it was a great turn out and it was lovely to see so many male role models here. Thank you for supporting the evening and we hope it was a fun night for everyone.
This week, we wish Mrs Szkwarek well as she takes parental leave to have her third baby. We will be very excited to hear the happy news of his or her safe arrival into the world. We wish Mrs Szkwarek and her family all the best as they welcome a new baby into their family.
Again, I thank everyone for another great term. I hope that these holidays are time for everyone to rest and recover OR to do something fun and exciting. I will be staying indoors, hopefully catching up with friends and spending time with my kids.
Our teachers and support staff have been amazing once again this term. The last few weeks, they have been working hard on preparing end of semester Reports for the children. These will be coming home on Thursday. Any children who are not here, will be given their report upon return to school. However, these will be available in PAM for parents to read online. If you are not signed up to PAM, please ensure that you do this as soon as possible. This is how we give permission for school activities, report absences and receive reports. We will be going paperless with reports at the end of the year.
A PRAYER FOR THE END OF TERM
We thank you Lord, for this term. For our challenges, our successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt. Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends. Give us strength and courage to do what is right, enacting our Gospel Values, acting with integrity and kindness.
Amen
Until next term everyone,
Sally
