From the Principal
Dear Families,
It is hard to believe that we are already in the second last week of another term. It’s been a busy term, with many great things that have happened in our school community, but it has also had its challenges.
It goes without saying that staff and student illnesses have plagued us this term, not unlike nearly every other school. I attended a Principal’s meeting last week and we are all facing similar challenges.
The great news is that our staff and students have shown great resilience throughout this time. They have either had to adapt to their teacher being away, or having to change up their usual routine. And I feel that it’s important to acknowledge the amazing staff here at Lumen Christi who have had to be flexible and just help each other out when we have been short of staff. I can’t thank everybody enough and express how grateful I am to be working with such a dedicated and generous team.
Thank you to all of our wonderful families for their donations for the ‘Give a can if you can’ day and for supporting the P&F fun lunch. Both were a huge success and we appreciate the generosity that people have shown.
We have our boys’ soccer team going off to the District Soccer Competition in Traralgon tomorrow so we wish them all the very best and hope that they do us proud.
School Reports will be coming home next week. This year, we have changed reporting systems and school reports will be able to be accessed online via PAM. We have decided that we will print these off for families this semester, however, we would like to encourage everyone to ensure that PAM is set up so that these can be accessed digitally at the end of the year. We will be moving to this format exclusively in December.
A reminder that end of term is approaching next week. School will finish at 12:30pm next Friday to begin the holidays.
We also have our Confirmation celebration for our Year 6 students next week at Sacred Heart Church at 6pm.
We will be celebrating out End of Term mass this Thursday 16th June at 9:30am in the Church. Everyone is welcome, we would love to see you there.
Have a wonderful week ahead
Sally
