I have had two parents approach me this week with concerns about driver behaviour at the McDonald Way Crossing and our school drop off points.

Please if you drive through the McDonald Way crossing in the morning or afternoon, be mindful of children who are crossing the road. This is an unmanned crossing, but children do use it to cross safely to school. Please ensure you adhere to the speed limit, slow down and give way to children crossing the road.

The other concern was around parents reversing their cars and making three-point turns at the drop off point. Again, I will appeal to everyone to please be mindful about the safety of the children in these areas and at very busy times of the day. Especially if you drive a larger vehicle, it may be very difficult to see small children if you are reversing.
