ADVENT Bethlehem Bazaar Dress Up Day
Thursday Nov 25th 2021
We are excited to announce that our traditional Bethlehem Bazaar Day can occur this year. On this day, we will dress up as people from Bethlehem and bring some gold coins to spend at our Bethlehem Bazaar Stall run by Year 5/6 students.
The money raised is for families who need assistance at Christmas time. This fits in with our Catholic Social Teaching and Mission of Jesus, that being, giving to those in need who are less fortunate than us.
On this day we also come together in the Church at 9am to celebrate Advent. Advent is the beginning of the Church year. It begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. The word 'Advent' means 'coming' or 'arrival'. The whole season is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is also a preparation time, thinking about Jesus and his wonderful contribution to our Catholic faith and Church traditions.
