"On Thursday the 19th of August Lumen Christi participated in the District Basketball Competition at Latrobe Leisure in Churchill. 16 of the students walked to the Churchill stadium, and engaged in games of basketball. For the first game, our Girls team competed against Churchill Primary. It was a successful game. We then played Churchill North, and unfortunately lost the game. For the last game, we went up against Yinnar Primary. We lost to them and returned to school. The girls came 3rd out of 4 schools. We thank Mrs Nardino for her coaching throughout the day."

"On Thursday 19th of August, a team of 5/6 boys and myself played basketball against Churchill North, Hazelwood North, Yinnar South and Boolarra. We won 3 games and lost 1. It was an enjoyable day and on behalf of the team I’d like to thank Mr Watson for taking us down to school basketball and coaching. A big thank you to all students who completed for Lumen Christi."
