From Mrs Darby

Dear Families,

Here we are in Week 7 of Term 3 – it is a very short term and it is flying by very
quickly indeed. That’s a sure sign that we have all been busy!

Thank you again to our wonderful P&F for another successful lunch order day. The children are really enjoying these and our P&F lunch order team are doing such agreat job. We really appreciate what you are doing for our children and our school.

We had our first transition session with our new Foundation students last week which
was hugely successful! It was lovely to see our new children and their families here
at our school and we are very excited to be welcoming them all into our wider school
community. Our next session in next week on Wednesday 2:15pm – 3pm.

This week, the children will enjoy an incursion from Meerkat Productions. This is a
performance of the book chosen for Book Week this year. Thank you to Mrs Wilson
in the library for organising this.

We also have our Father’s Day breakfast this Thursday. We will be holding a prayer
service rather than a mass as Father James has a commitment with Bishop Greg
and the other priests in our Diocese on this day. Mrs Szkwarek is busy organising
this, so we welcome all our dads and special people along to celebrate with us.

Grade ¾ are off on camp on Monday – please remember that if your child needs
medication on camp, a form needs to be filled in and returned to school ASAP.

Footy Colours Day is Thursday 18 th September, which is also the last day of Term.
Students will finish at 3pm as usual on this day.

I will leave a little prayer honouring our wonderful dads:

Prayer for Father’s Day
Loving God, Today we give thanks for the gift of fathers.
We thank You for our dads, grandfathers, uncles, and all the special men
who care for us, guide us, and show us love each day.

Bless them with patience, strength, and joy. Help them to be shining examples of Your kindness, and fill their hearts with peace.

We pray for fathers who are no longer with us. May they rest in Your eternal love.We also pray for those who find Father’s Day difficult—
may they feel Your comfort and care.

Bless our school community as we celebrate Father’s Day.May we always show gratitude, love, and respect
for the fathers and father-figures in our lives.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Have a wonderful week ahead,
Sally
