From Mrs Darby
Dear Families,
It was a very busy week at Lumen Christi last week with Book Week, Parent Teacher
Interviews and a whole school excursion to Sacred Heart.
Thank you to all of our families who booked and attended their Parent Teacher
Interview with their child’s teacher. It is an important part of our reporting schedule
and an opportunity for parents to chat with teachers about their child’s learning and
experience at school.
We’re very excited to be welcoming our 2026 Foundation students on Wednesday
afternoon for their first transition session. I am so pleased that we have a good
number of Foundation students joining us in the new year, which is wonderful to
have so many new students and their families joining our wonderful school. Thank
you to all parents who are sharing good news stories in the wider community and
encouraging other families to consider Lumen Christi for their child’s education. I
have no doubt that positive word of mouth has played a part.
Grade 3/4 Camp is coming up very soon. Please ensure that all forms are signed
and medication forms are in at the office by the end of the week.
We also have Father’s Day breakfast, Mass and our Father’s Day stall coming up on
the 4 th September too – so a busy lead up to the end of term. Please remember that anyone special to the children can attend these days. Families have many different dynamics so we are inclusive of everyone here and can make room for any special person or family member who can attend this day with one of our students.
In recent weeks, we have added some new line markings and games for the children
to enjoy during their break times. I would like to thank the P&F for their contribution towards these. It’s been so lovely watching the children enjoy the yard and have an expanded choice of things to do, which makes our yard a happy place.
Have a wonderful week ahead,
Sally
