End of Year Events

Advent Day: THURSDAY 3rd DECEMBER

This year our traditional Bethlehem Bazaar stalls cannot occur due to Covid 19. Instead, we will still dress up as people from Bethlehem and bring a gold coin donation. With the money raised, each class will buy a toy to place under our ‘Advent Wishing Tree’. The toys will be distributed to children in need from our local community at Christmas time. This fits in with our Catholic Social Teaching and Mission of Jesus, that being, giving to those in need. Advent is the beginning of the Church year. It begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. The word 'Advent' means 'coming' or 'arrival'. The whole season is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is also a preparation time, thinking about Jesus and his wonderful contribution to our Catholic faith and traditions.

Graduation: THURSDAY 10th DECEMBER

Our Graduation Day is finalised with the Year 6's finishing on Thursday 10th December.  We plan to have our Graduation event that night starting at 5pm, with details still evolving with hopefully the further lifting of restrictions.  The changes released this week indicate we can have additional people attend the Graduation event apart from just staff and students.  We think this will enable us to allow parents to attend .... which is better than live streaming it!!

Nativity Play: MONDAY 14th DECEMBER

Our annual Junior School Nativity Play is scheduled for Monday 14th December at 9am.  This is normally a public event and is typically held in the Church.  With the lifting of some restrictions we think that we will be able to host this event outside with families invited to come along.

Final Assembly & Christmas Carols: TUESDAY 15th DECEMBER

We welcome everyone to join us for our final assembly and Carols at 8.45am. Last year with the arrival of Mrs.Szkwarek as our music teacher, our rather informal carolling session to celebrate the last day of the school year became a little more grander.  Each class will have the chance to perform their rehearsed music class item for the other students as well as join in with a few well known Christmas Carols.  Students are able to where some Christmas 'bling' with their uniform eg. Santa hat, Reindeer ears.

Students finish School: TUESDAY 15th DECEMBER

All students have their last day today, with dismissal at the regular time of 3pm.
