Dear Families,

It was lovely to see all of our children back at school last week after the break. It’s
always nice chatting to the children and hearing about how they spent their holidays.

Last week, we were lucky to receive two “Friendship Seats” from the Traralgon
Men’s Shed which have made a welcome and colourful addition to our school
playground. It is wonderful to have these community groups contributing so
meaningfully to schools and the children who learn and play in them. They have
done such a lovely job on the seats and they look fantastic in our playground.

Our Grade 5/6 children attended Lavalla’s “The Little Mermaid” production last week,
which I hear they all enjoyed. For those children who think they might enjoy being a
part of something like this, it’s a wonderful opportunity for them to see some of the
options Secondary School might offer once they transition from Primary school.
Thank you to the teachers at Lavalla for inviting us to watch their performance.

Please remember to keep an eye out for upcoming dates in the newsletter. It’s a
short but busy term this term.

On Wednesday, it is “International Day of Friendship”. Schools play an important role
in building friendships. Some friendships made in Primary School last a lifetime, they
are responsible for creating lasting memories and give us a sense of belonging and
security which are all things that are important for our wellbeing and mental health.

You created us to live in love and kindness with one another.
Bless our friends, near and far,
and help us to always share Your love through our words and actions.
