From Miss Smith
Welcome back to Term 3!
I hope you all had a fantastic break and are feeling refreshed and ready for an exciting Term ahead. I know it’s not always a break for parents and carers though so for those who have been juggling work and the kids I’m sure going back to routine is welcomed.
Whether you explored new places or enjoyed cosy moments at home, we're thrilled to have you back and ready for another amazing term together.
We are excited to have Cindy Crawford joining us this term, a very warm welcome to our school community! We are thrilled to have you with us and look forward to getting to know you and helping you settle in.
Last week, was NAIDOC Week, a significant time for our school community to honour and celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Islander peoples across our great country and we hope that our future is one where we all grow together in understanding and unity. This week students will be engaging in different activities across the week celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
Reports were released on PAM on Friday 28 th June, the last day of Term 2. Any families who are not on PAM can request a printed copy. Please ask your child’s teacher or come into the office and we will be happy to help you.
There are a few important dates coming up this term, so please make sure that dates are in diaries. Parent Teacher Interviews, P&F Glow Disco, Father’s Day, Book week and Footy Day all happen this term – so lots to look forward to.
Enrolments are open for 2025, so if you know of any families who are considering schools for their children, please encourage them to come and do a tour of our wonderful school. Tours are offered by appointment by phoning the school office on: 5122 2231.
Our transition program for 2025 Foundation students starts this Term on the 28th of August. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet teachers, students and familiarise themselves with our school before starting. The flyer is attached to the newsletter with all the transition dates.
Have a wonderful week ahead,
Kristie Smith
