From Mrs Darby
Dear Families,
Here we are in the last week of term. We have a busy week here at Lumen Christi before we can enjoy the break over the holidays.
Yesterday, we had a fantastic day in Yinnar for the District Sports. Thank you to all of our parents, grandparents and families who came along to support their children on the day. Thank you also to Luke Robinson who transported the High Jump mats to the venue for us. It’s not an easy task unless you have a truck so your help was very much appreciated. I also want to thank our staff for their efforts and ensuring the children were well looked after on the day and supported to do their best.
Lastly, to our children for giving everything a go – well done on your resilience!
Today and tomorrow, the school is going through a Review process. We will have two Reviewers in the school who will interview all members of staff and a selection of children and parents. This process helps myself and the leadership team form our four year strategic plan – it will identify our strengths as a school and opportunities for improvement also.
On Thursday, we will have our “Coins for Caritas” so remember to bring in your coins – the House Team that makes the longest line of coins will win the competition! Our Year 6 students will also perform the Passion Play and we will draw our Easter Raffle. There are over 50 prizes to be won, so we invite families along to the raffle draw. Thank you to our Parents and Friends for organising the raffle and putting all the prizes together. And a huge thank you to our families for the overwhelming
donations.
Remember school finishes at 12:30 on Thursday and there are no buses on this day so please ensure your children have means to get to and from school.
I hope all of our children enjoy the break over the holidays. If your family is travelling over Easter, please stay safe on the roads and enjoy the time together as a family.
We hope the Easter Bunny finds all of our children on Sunday morning. As a Catholic Community, this is central to our faith in celebrating the Risen Lord.
Term 2 begins on Monday 15 th April for all students. We look forward to seeing everyone then.
Have a wonderful week ahead,
Sally
