From Mrs Darby
Dear Families,
Gosh! The calendar days are disappearing before my eyes – the end of the year is very fast approaching now.
Our Swimming program went very well last week. I spoke to a number of students who all recognised that they improved at an aspect of their swimming during the week. Whether it was floating, treading water or working on their swimming strokes, they all achieved something new, which was wonderful to see and hear about. Thank you to our teachers and support staff for the week, it is a busy week when we have swimming and we worked together as a team very well for the benefit of the children. Thanks also to any parents who came along to watch or help, it was lovely to have this support also.
This week on Friday we have our Bethlehem Bazaar! All families are welcome to come along. Remember to bring plenty of coins and a shopping bag to school for prizes.
Children are welcome to dress up on the day “Bethlehem Style” to join in the fun. Last year, we raised an enormous amount of money for Vinnie’s – we’re hoping that this year we can do the same so that we can support those in our community who are in need this Christmas.
Next week, our 3s and 4s will be heading to Camp Allambee. We are all praying they have lovely weather and a wonderful time away. Camp is such a great experience to build confidence and work on resilience.
Our Grade 6s graduate next Thursday night which will be a fantastic celebration to conclude their seven years at Primary School. If families could remember to send back their forms so that we know how many people we are seating and catering for, we would appreciate this at your earliest convenience.
Have a wonderful week ahead,
Sally
