From Mrs Darby
Dear Families,
It's disappointing to start the newsletter off with bad news, but unfortunately Covid is on the rise in our school community at the moment.
At Lumen Christi, we have a good covid safe plan, air purifiers, hand santisier and masks available for anyone who would like them. We also have a good supply of RATs left over from last year, so I encourage all families to request a box if they are short at home. We still require children to stay home if they test positive to covid. At school, we will be reminding children of our covid safe measures and it would be a good idea to go over hand washing and general hygiene at home also. please notify the school if your child tests positive as we are required to keep a register of students and staff who have been affected.
We had a lovely night last Tuesday with our Year 6s and their gifts and services night. They made a delicious meal for their families and we expecially keep:
Jack F, Blake B, Hudson, Reed, Liam, Max and Dakota (from Yinnar) in our prayers as they celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation this Thursday night. And we wish them our congratulations.
Congratulations to both our boys and girls who represented our school in the school soccer competition in Traralgon last week. Bothe teams played well but unfortunately will not go through to the next stage. Thank you again to Stephen Breheny for coaching the boys and to Sarah Birch, who unfortunately couldn't be there this time, but who coached the girls to this point. Thank you to Miss Joanna Watson for looking after th girls on the day.
Remember the last day of Term is Thursday next week. We finish at normal time - 3pm.
Have a wonderful week ahead,
Sally
