From Mrs Darby
Dear Families,
Here we are in Week 4, already almost half way through another term.
We had another busy week here last week.
Firstly, I’d like to congratulate both our boys’ and our girls’ soccer teams for competing in the Yinnar & District school soccer competition and making it through to the next round. We thank especially Sarah Birch and Stephen Breheny for giving up their time to coach the teams on the day.
I’d also like to thank everyone involved in putting on such a beautiful Mother’s Day breakfast. We hope all of our mums, nans, aunties and other special people enjoyed the morning and that Sunday was a lovely day for everyone.
We had a wonderful turn out also for our Mother’s Day Mass. Thank you to Miss Smith for organising the mass and the lovely slideshow showing lots of our families.
We have a number of children in Grade 6 preparing for their Confirmation. Remember to attend the commitment masses over the coming weekends so that you receive your prayer card and your pin for the night. Remember also that families can attend any mass for this over the weekend in Morwell or Churchill. Please be sure to double check the letter that was sent home. At times the Churchill mass is held in Boolarra or Yinnar.
Our lunch orders were a great success last week. The children enjoyed their lunches, which looked healthy and colourful and beautifully presented. Remember to have orders in this week by 7:30pm tonight.
A reminder that School Photo envelopes have gone home yesterday. School photos are next Wednesday 24th May so remember to be here for that and in the correct school uniform.
Have a wonderful week everyone,
Sally
